Tittmoning, a tiny little city in Bavaria in the south of Germany has as little to do with lemons as New York has to do with apples.
It is the city of artist Pete Kilkenny who came to live here in 2006.
During his first years in this dainty little City, it having such status due to it having its very own castle, the lemon became symbolic to him for something small yet ultimately valuable like Tittmoning itself.
With time the lemon has developed into a symbolic antidote to all the imbalances in the world. The downsides of the greed born out of globalisation for example. The once great Italian lemon has demised due to the monopolistic power of bullying rivals.
New York is referred to as the, "big apple", the first reference appearing in the book The Wayfarer in New York in which Edward S. Martin wrote back in 1909, "Kansas is apt to see in New York a greedy city ... It inclines to think that the big apple gets a disproportionate share of the national sap."
MoMA Lemon's ultimate goal is to share creativity which we see as our greatest asset as human beings. Greed has no place and to be international we strongly believe in staying local. Diversity is wonderful as long as greed is not the motivation to diversify.
"In my young childish mind I dreamed of a world where people worked only if their work was joyful. I lost myself in creativity as a child, never appreciating conventional schooling I locked onto William Morris & the likes of him, poets, artists, painters, craftsmen, who altogether believed that the industrial revolution would take the soul out of life. I was 16. Traditional teaching & industry didn't appeal to me. The joy I found in creating was paramount as a child & I never wanted to do anything else. Art is definitely my life, like love, absolute & uncompromising."

You can be a part of the vision, after all it's the vision of thousands of people I met in 50 countries over a lifetime of travelling around this beautful world.
Tittmoning is my home now. I prefer the country to the City, the air is better.
Tittmoning, ein kleines Städtchen in Bayern im Süden Deutschlands, hat mit Zitronen genauso wenig zu tun wie New York mit Äpfeln.
Es ist die Stadt des Künstlers Pete Kilkenny, der 2006 hierher kam.
Während seiner ersten Jahre in dieser zierlichen kleinen Stadt, die aufgrund ihres eigenen Schlosses einen solchen Status hatte, wurde die Zitrone für ihn zum Symbol für etwas Kleines, aber letztendlich Wertvolles wie Tittmoning selbst.
Mit der Zeit hat sich die Zitrone zu einem symbolischen Gegenmittel gegen alle Ungleichgewichte der Welt entwickelt. Die Schattenseiten der Gier, die aus der Globalisierung geboren wurde, zum Beispiel. Die einst große italienische Zitrone ist aufgrund der monopolistischen Macht der Mobbing-Rivalen untergegangen.
New York wird als der "große Apfel" bezeichnet, die erste Erwähnung in dem Buch "The Wayfarer in New York", in dem Edward S. Martin 1909 schrieb: "Kansas sieht in New York eine gierige Stadt .. . Es neigt zu der Annahme, dass der Big Apple einen überproportionalen Anteil am nationalen Saft bekommt.“
Das ultimative Ziel von MoMA Lemon ist es, Kreativität zu teilen, die wir als unser größtes Kapital als Menschen ansehen. Gier hat keinen Platz und um international zu sein, glauben wir fest daran, lokal zu bleiben. Vielfalt ist wunderbar, solange Gier nicht die Motivation zur Diversifizierung ist.

Als Kind verlor ich mich in Kreativität, ohne konventionelle Schulbildung zu schätzen, ich schloss mich an William Morris und seinesgleichen, Dichter, Künstler, Maler, Handwerker, die ganz und gar glaubten, dass die industrielle Revolution dem Leben die Seele nehmen würde. Ich war 16Traditionelles Lehren & Industrie reizte mich nicht. Die Freude am Gestalten war als Kind überragend und ich wollte nie etwas anderes machen, Kunst ist mein Leben, wie Liebe, absolut & kompromisslos."

MoMA Lemon ist eine Vision, die andere gleichgesinnte kreative Menschen verbindet.
Sie können Teil der Vision sein, schließlich ist es die Vision von Tausenden von Menschen, die ich im Laufe meines Lebens auf meinen Reisen durch diese wunderschöne Welt in 50 Ländern getroffen habe.
Tittmoning ist jetzt mein Zuhause. Ich bin lieber auf dem Land als in der Stadt, die Luft ist besser.
